Sudden Weight Loss and Decreased Appetite

Being fit does not mean to experience sudden weight loss & decreased appetite. Yes, you could have that sexy body. However, are you sure that you are not risking your health into it?

This biological phenomenon is normal. This is true especially if you are into (religious) meditation or concentration like most monks, rabbis and priests do. They fast physically; believing that they would be nurtured spiritually.

Another example, when we are sick. Diseases such as flu and measles for some reasons we don’t feel like eating. Furthermore, when we lose our appetite or urge for eating when we are emotionally bothered or upset. Boredom, depression and anxiety make our body slow; thus the usual digestive process is also in that motion. Unlike when we are active or busy, we consciously spend more time eating rather doing what is expected of us.

There are other people who are neither into fasting nor sick; also experience change in their mass and their desire to eat. These are “drug dependents” or users, particularly those who take stimulants such as cocaine, nicotine and caffeine.

In general, there is a correlation between body weight and appetite. Once you experience any of these two, take time to consult your doctor immediately.
